Handpick shea fruits and extract nuts. from late April to early June, with only 15% of fallen fruits used for shea butter production.
Roasting
Shea seeds crushed, roasted for oil extraction; second grinding releases fats; roasting crucial for shea butter.
Kneading
Water is added to the shea oil mixture and kneaded. The mixture is then whipped and churned by hand until early-stage shea butter coagulates.
Purify
Churned shea butter is processed through cooking, skimming, and settling. The resulting shea butter is strained, cooled, and solidified.
